Early on I was drawn to how the look of someone's skin really impacts my first impression of them. Growing up I felt insecure about some skin blotchiness that I had, and became obsessed with skin. As a self-proclaimed Tom Boy I had to learn that looking and feeling good about my skin wasn't vanity, it was sanity. It became my secret to success. As the first in my family to go to college, I couldn't afford the high ticket clothing trends. Make-up and hair became my way to express my confidence. I feel invincible when my skin, hair and make-up look amazing.

After fudging my address to get the job, I worked for top brands like Cetaphil and in dermatology for the last 18 years. Guiding my friends and colleagues to great skin is a passion. Yet as a working Mom there was a gap between results and real life. Those of us that don't want to do long routines or fight through complex side-effects, were being left out. With The Deweffect I am creating targeted treatments that move the needle like a medical/prescription product without the hassle.
